We didn't have a very good summer. The rain seemed to last forever. However, we did have some lovely flowers and other memories, and this is the first chance I've gotten to post the pictures.
Remember the "Curly Stranger" from last year? We were told by our good friend Far Side of Fifty that it was a Leopard Lily. Below is the only bloom we got this year.
But we found one at the garden center and planted it in a pot to see if it was the same thing. The Curly Stranger from our forest is about 1-1/2 to 2" long. As you can see, the blooms on the plant we potted were as large as my hand. So different from the delicate flower we thought it would be. But still they are the same.

Oh your flowers were awesome..it was fun to see them. Your Leopard Lily did bloom..one bloom is a start!

That basket of pink petunias was awesome too..you do have quite a green thumb...and pears..now those are something I wish I could grow here and that lace cap hydrangea I am really jealous over that one it has such beautiful color!! Thanks for the summer tour..I really enjoyed it! :)

Here in East Tennessee we call those Turk's Head lilies, they grown wild on the balds up in the mountains. :)
